Prayer Plant Family

FAMILY INCLUDES: Calathea, Ctenanthe, Maranta (aka Prayer plant), Stromanthe

LIGHT: Bright, indirect light. Morning sun is okay but direct afternoon sun is not my friend (at least not in the summer).

WATER: I enjoy being lightly damp at all times and do not want to dry out completely. I fancy distilled or filtered water since I can be sensitive to chemicals.

HUMIDITY: I go gaga for humidity so place my pot on a pebble water tray or near a humidifier. If the edges of my leaves turn brown, then I likely need more humidity. No such thing as too much of a good thing although some family members are more accepting of a lower humidity levels.

FAN FAVORITES: Calathea Lancifolia (aka Rattlesnake), Maranta Lemon Lime, and Stromanthe Triostar
